Do I need to fill out an application?

To be considered for a position at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI), you must click apply and create an application. You can also create an application first by clicking HERE. You must apply for each position of interest to be considered. Required information is indicated with an asterisk (*). However, the more information you provide, the easier it will be to effectively evaluate your qualifications, skills and abilities.

What if I need an accommodation to apply for a position?

If you are a person with disability who is in need of a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in TSRI’s application, interview, and/or selection process, please contact our Human Resources Department.

What information will I be asked to provide?

You will be asked to provide personal information such as your name, address, phone number, etc. You will also be asked to provide information about your education and previous employment, as well as contact information relating to your employment history.

How do I submit a resume?

You will be able to submit a resume each time you apply for a position. There will be directions prompting you how and when to attach your resume. Please note that attaching a resume does not substitiute for completing the application form.

Will I receive confirmation that my application was received?

Yes, a page will be displayed indicating that your application has been submitted and you will be provided with a confirmation number.

Can I copy selected information from another electronic document?

Yes. For example, you can copy and paste the information from a Word or WordPerfect document directly into the appropriate fields in the application form.

What if I am not ready to fill out the application at this time?

If you do not want to complete the application at this time, please click “CANCEL” at the bottom of the page.

What is the hiring process?

When you have applied online, a Human Resources recruiter will review your application (and resume, if provided). If you meet the basic qualifications for the position, a recruiter may forward your information to the hiring manager(s). Upon the hiring manager’s review of your qualifications, you may be contacted for an interview. If you successfully complete the interview process, it is TSRI’s practice to check references, conduct background checks, and perform post-offer testing (as required) for all positions.

How will I know if a position has been filled?

Once a position has been filled, it will be removed from the Job Postings on our employment website
