|Position Description|| |
Performs a wide variety of complex and specialized activities for the operation, transportation and scheduling of multi-media equipment for programs, conferences, and special events on the Florida campus. Functions in the capacity of subject matter expert pertaining to the audio/visual systems and design needs across both campuses.
Designs, plans, and implements audio visual systems for use across campus facilities;
Operates multi-media equipment as necessary for research programs, conferences, and special events;
Provides subject matter expertise to equipment users concerning multi-media format, equipment selection, and presentation techniques;
Maintains a working inventory of multi-media equipment in accordance with user needs;
Responsible for multi-media equipment purchasing recommendations;
Coordinates preventative maintenance and repair of multi-media equipment;
Schedules, transports, and sets up all audio-visual equipment for use by employees.
Maintains schedules of requested audio-visual equipment and records of equipment users;
Applies job skills and department policies and procedures to complete a wide range of difficult tasks;
Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

This position works in a typical office environment, but may also perform assigned duties in a laboratory environment. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, twist/turn, climb stairs and/or ladders, engage in pushing/pulling motions, and reach above, at or below shoulder level. Performs motions that require fine dexterity. Must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 45 pounds. Further detail will be provided during the interview process.
|Basic Qualifications:|| |
Associate degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Minimum 3 years experience working with a broad range of multi-media equipment providing related services.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills required.
Expert knowledge of multi-media equipment set-up, operation, and maintenance techniques.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications as well as video and audio editing software.
