Compound Management Intern

The Compound Management Intern works under general supervision and is primarily responsible for the intake of medicinal chemical compounds, maintaining the inventory of supplies, and recordkeeping of the catalogue of synthetic compounds and chemical library.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Enter Data into software systems.
* Transfer compounds between vials and plates
* Weigh compounds using analytical balance and accurately record results
* Solubilize compounds from powder to liquid stock
* Maintain catalogue of compounds
* Maintain inventory of compounds to include information about location, quantities
* Generate order requests for compounds according to policy
* Document, interpret and accurately record data in laboratory notebook and databases
* Read analytical data from instruments
* Other tasks as may be assigned

Basic Qualifications:

* Currently enrolled in a college-level science-based program of studies
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
* Excellent attention to detail
* Experience using general laboratory tools preferred
* Strong math skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
