The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) is currently seeking a Director, Human Resources for its Florida campus. This position is the senior HR leader for Scripps Florida, a growth-oriented, state of the art biomedical research organization. This leader is responsible for site HR services while being an active and contributing member of the TSRI Human Resources leadership team and will support organization-wide HR initiatives. The position will lead a broad scope of critical functions such as: talent acquisition, training and development, compensation, benefits administration, organizing roles and structures & employee relations. The position manages a high functioning HR team while directing the HR function on day-to-day issues.

This position works in a typical office environment. With or without reasonable accommodation, employees in this position must be able to sit and type at a computer terminal for up to 8 hours per day with appropriate breaks and perform tasks that require fine dexterity and repetitive motions using the arms, hands, wrists and fingers. |Basic Qualifications:|| |
Bachelor’s degree; A minimum of 10 years progressively responsible human resources experience; Significant Human Resources leadership experience with demonstrated competence in employee relations, training and development, and recruitment; Demonstrated knowledge of state/federal employment laws and related immigration laws; Strong level of collaboration, partnership and interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport and credibility at all levels; Persuasive and articulate manner with the ability to be effective without relying on formal authority; Ability to work independently with shifting priorities; Proven analytical, organizational and leadership skills; Ability to effectively represent TSRI to a wide variety of groups; Working Knowledge in higher education or non-profit research; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, HR database systems and applicant tracking software.
