|Position Summary:|| |
The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) is currently seeking a non-paid Intern in the Molecular Medicine Department for its Florida facility.
This is a research related internship in a laboratory setting, providing closely supervised training and the ability to develop professional skills.
Candidate will be responsible for DNA extraction from mouse tails for genotyping by PCR. Duties will also include assisting with basic laboratory maintenance such as buffer and media preparations, replenishing supplies and other molecular biology experiments.

|Basic Qualifications:|| |
Must be enrolled in School full time as a student and able to submit documentation of course credit for completion of internship to the Human Resources Department.
|Preferred Qualifications:|| |
Florida & Palm Beach County residents are required.
Prefer students that are either entering their Junior or Senior year of College and are obtaining a Degree in the Life Sciences.
Experience with laboratory skills such as pipetting, making buffers and weighing materials is preferred.
