Position Summary:

Calibr is seeking an Intern to our HTS and Automation Group. Under supervised training, the Intern will receive occupational experience to develop professional skills. Responsibilities include:

* Enter Data into software systems.
* Calibration, QC, operator and light trouble-shooting of state-of-the-art HTS equipment
* Assist biologist with HTS equipment
* Develop QC routines and publish reports
* Maintain consumable stock and inventory
Depending on the background of the successful applicant responsibilities may include one or more of the following:
* Design, Develop and Release of auxiliary components to assist in Automation workflow using Arduino, Raspberry Pi and related open source hardware and 3D printing.
* Develop software tools and libraries to assist the Automation group and outside users
* Other tasks as may be assigned

This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires current enrollment in a college/university educational program. Undergraduate enrolled in a relevant engineering program, e.g., Computer Science, ME, EE, Bioengineering or related field with a strong technology background.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Currently enrolled in a college level science-based program of studies
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
* Excellent attention to detail
* Experience using general laboratory tools preferred
* Strong math skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Compensation: Budgeted at $12.00 hourly
