|Position Summary:|| |
The Lippi lab is looking for a highly motivated undergraduate student to be part of a team exploring how noncoding RNAs regulate brain development. The position is for a part-time payed internship. The candidate is expected to perform basic laboratory maintenance such as glassware washing; autoclaving; media, solution, and buffer prep; replenish supplies and follow experimental procedures assigned by laboratory staff. Training may be provided for mouse related techniques, such as genotyping, surgeries, and preparations of primary cell cultures. In addition, the candidate will learn cutting edge neuroscience technologies along with molecular biology techniques like cloning and gene editing in a dynamic collaborative environment. Based on the progress the student will be encouraged to lead their own project and present their work in undergraduate research conferences.
The candidate will have to commit to at least 2 years (but a longer timeframe is welcome) in this position.

Requires current enrollment in either a high school or college/university educational program. Undergraduate enrolled in a relevant scientific program, e.g., biological or life science, strongly preferred.
