Provides contract management support to the Office of Technology Development (OTD). This role processes and tracks contracts, develops and manages digital files and databases, manages royalty invoicing, processing and distributions, and assists with federal reporting requirements.
* Works with faculty and staff to facilitate on-line requests, processing, and execution of Confidential Disclosure Agreements and Material Transfer Agreements. * Responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating Confidential Dislcosure Agreements and Material Transfer Agreements. * Assists compliance coordinator with administrative needs associated with licensee/partner compliance in contractual matters. * Assists compliance coordinator with federal reporting requirements and interfaces with other departments requiring departmental information for compliance purposes. * Ensures manuscript submissions are in compliance with applicable journal, contract and sponsor requirements. * Updates and tracks multiple agreements in Sophia (database), ensuring transaction activity is documented and related documents are attached; processes requests for archived documents. * Provides back-up support in managing the flow of intellectual property to and from corporate partners. * Prepares ad hoc reports; edits, proofreads, and formats reports to department specifications. * Maintains and manages all department files and processes a variety of general and complex correspondence. * Participates and presents information in staff meetings. * Performs other duties as assigned.

* Bachelor’s degree in related field. * Minimum of 3 years of contracts management or paralegal experience experience required. * Ability to read and understand contracts, analyze and identify issues within contracts and process transactions in a timely and consistent manner. * Exceptional analytic capabilities and attention to detail; particular emphasis on ability to accurately cross-reference agreements, inventions and inventor information. * Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Database knowledge and experience; aptitude and willingness to learn new systems and take ownership of database (Wellspring Sophia) for OTD team. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently. * Must possess a cooperative, service-oriented attitude and be able to work under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor with colleagues and research staff. * Demonstrated diplomacy and ability to maintain confidential information.
