|Position Summary:|| |
The Phlebotomist / Lab Assistant performs duties typically expected of a Phlebotomist, including drawing blood from normal human volunteers and preparing specimens for the Normal Blood Donor Service (NBDS) department and monitoring vital signs. Performs clerical and/or administrative support duties for identifying, screening and scheduling donors, as well as coordinating payment to said donors.

This position works in an environment other than a typical office. Performs repetitive motions such as grasping, rotating, twisting, and reaching with fingers, hands and arms requiring strength, dexterity and stamina. Must be able to sit and stand for several hours. Must be able to bend and stoop. With or without corrective lenses, must be able to see. Further details of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.
|Basic Qualifications:|| |
* Licensure as a certified State of California Phlebotomist, CPTI or CPTII required, if not RN / LVN.
