Job Description

Requisition Number 07636
Department Name: Neuroscience - FL
Position Type: Full Time
Position Title Postdoctoral Associate- Tomchik Lab
Position Summary:

A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Seth Tomchik at The Scripps Research Institute Florida. Our research focuses on how experience drives neuronal plasticity that alters information flow through neuronal circuits that guide learned/adaptive behaviors. Current projects focus on how sensory circuits are activated during biologically relevant events in vivo, how neuronal circuit properties are modified following learning, and how these processes are disrupted in disease models (such as neurofibromatosis 1). In addition, a major set of projects examines how mutations in the NF1 gene affect motor behaviors/circuits.
