Scripps Research is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate for the Chemistry Department.
We have recently completed a high throughput, high content screen assessing 10*6 candidate compounds for their ability to enhance autophagy flux.The aim of this project is to use medicinal chemistry generated structure-activity relationships in combination with affinity chromatography mass spectrometry-mass spectrometry experiments to determine the mechanism of action of two highly prioritized mTOR-independent autophagy activators in order to develop them into selective and potent autophagy activation drug candidates for use in ameliorating neurodegeneration.

Must possess a doctoral degree. A pending doctoral degree may be considered with approval of the Principal Investigator.
