Position Description

A Postdoctoral position is available for a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual to study the molecular basis of metabolic disorders in mammals. Our lab applies a strategy that integrates chemical biology and unique small-molecule probes, genetic tools, cell-based assays, functional genomics, proteomics, and mouse models to discover and validate new metabolic pathways. We aim to understand their role in physiology and in disease. We are particularly interested in deploying these tools to study adipose tissue function, and the impact of intestinal nutrient sensing and taste signaling on systemic physiology. Our ultimate goal is to identify novel approaches to treat obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic disorders.
