Research Associates are appointed positions for the purpose of developing scholarly competence, working under the supervision of a TSRI Faculty member. These appointments are normally not renewed beyond a total of six years. Research Associates cannot apply for external funding either as a Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator without prior approval from a Departmental Chair. Research Associates do not have consulting privileges.

The research group of Dr. Michael Bollong is seeking a talented Postdoctoral fellow with experience in cell and molecular biology to join a collaborative and interdisciplinary team of scientists focused on small molecule discovery and early stage translational research. Specific research activities include high throughput cell-based screens, molecular and cellular biology, and organismal studies of the effects of novel compounds. Projects involve the elucidation of biologically relevant targets/mechanisms of action and evaluation of the activities of optimized lead molecules in pre-clinical rodent models.
Please note this position will be directly supervised by faculty fellow Dr. Michael Bollong as part of the newly formed TSRI fellows program.
