The Lotz lab in the Department of Molecular Medicine has an opening for a Postdoctoral Associate.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong background and technical expertise in cell and molecular biology and bioinformatics for our program on transcription factors in joint biology and arthritis pathogenesis. In this newly funded program we are using Omics technologies (RNA-seq, single cell-RNA-seq, ChIP-seq and epigenetic analyses) to identify regulatory gene networks and test their role using in vitro and in vivo models in mutant mouse strains. Genes that are identified to be essential regulators of homeostatic processes or to promote arthritis pathogenesis are used in drug screening assays. The laboratory has preclinical models for proof of concept validation of drug targets and drug candidates.
