|Position Summary:|| |
Scripps Research is currently seeking a Research Assistant I for its Florida facility.
The research group is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant with experience in cell and molecular biology to join a collaborative and interdisciplinary team of scientists focused on 1) illuminating molecular mechanisms that contribute to diseases, such as cancer, and (2) studying how small molecules might regulate, or be used to regulate, complex biological processes, such as immune responses and metabolism. Will provide effective scientific assistance with: mammalian cell culture; proteomics mechanism of action studies; DNA purification or cloning; protein purification and characterization; assay development; and perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as requested or assigned.

|Basic Qualifications:|| |
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained. Requires 1-3 years experience. Candidates possessing a Master’s degree, 0-2 years experience required.

Florida & Palm Beach County residents are preferred.
