Position Summary: | This position involves performing mammalian and yeast library preparation under minimal supervision, independently and in collaboration with others with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Coordinate and discuss with supervisor daily/weekly work plan. Perform a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Related duties, tasks and responsibilities will be protein production and purification from E. coli and mammalian cells as well as managing lab equipment and consumables, and perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned. |

Basic Qualifications: | Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained. Requires 3-5 years experience. Candidates possessing a Master’s degree, 2+ years experience required. |
Preferred Qualifications: | Prior hands-on working experience with molecular biology methods in a high-throughput environment such as library preparation, PCR, sequencing, DNA extraction, gel electrophoresis as well as maintaining cells in culture is preferred. This position requires multiple periods of intense concentration. Ability to multi-task and perform under stress. Familiarity with BSL-2 protocols and best-practices as well as proven problem solving and troubleshooting abilities is a plus. |
Compensation: | $49,920 - $57,408 per year budgeted hiring range. |
