Position Summary:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Design experiments, analyze and prepare graphs of scientific data.
  • Perform extensive tissue culture and preparation of media and reagents.
  • Perform cell-based experiments using high-throughput-screening formats (96/384 well) using primary, heterologous (including embryonic derived cell lines (HEK293)) and embryonic stem cell, iPSC and related derived culture systems.
  • Perform transfection, immunoprecipitation, Western blotting, qPCR, and ELISA/AlphaELISA- molecular biology.
  • Handling of samples for mass spectrometry experiments.
  • Handling of adenoviral (AVV) vectors/adenoviral-associated (AAV) vectors.
  • Data analysis and lab notebook documentation- knowledge of Excel spreadsheet technologies and perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained. Requires 3-5 years experience. Candidates possessing a Master’s degree, 2+ years experience required.

  • Skills in sterile technique and culture of mammalian cells are essential.
  • Working knowledge of SDS-PAGE, ELISA and basic biochemical techniques required. (*) Individual should have an adequate skill set to work independently with indirect supervision.
  • This position requires great attention to detail, troubleshooting capability and flexibility to adapt to a rigorous scientific environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Compensation: $49,920 - $58,843 per year.
