Position Summary:

The selected candidate will plan and conduct complex and novel research projects that involve small animal models of drug self-administration. Will assist in designing experiments and operating scientific lab equipment and may pursue a research project solely or in collaboration with other lab members. May supervise or provide work direction and training to lab interns and perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Physical Requirements:

This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained. Requires 3-5 years experience. Candidates possessing a Master’s degree, 2+ years experience required.
The candidate should have work experience in animal models of oral and intravenous self-administration. General laboratory experience in the preparation of solutions is also required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Compensation: $45,926- $57,408 per annum budgeted amount.
