Position Title Research Assistant II
Position Summary:

The research group is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant with experience in cell and molecular biology to join a collaborative and interdisciplinary team of scientists focused on illuminating molecular mechanisms that contribute to diseases, such as cancer, and studying how small molecules might regulate, or be used to regulate, complex biological processes, such as immune responses and metabolism.
Responsibilities will include perform experiments with proteomics, mammalian cell culture, molecular biology techniques such as DNA purification, cloning, RNAi, CRISPR, recombinant overexpression, Western blot, qRT PCR, plan and organize assigned projects, and perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained.
Requires 3-5 years experience. Candidates possessing a Master’s degree, 2+ years experience required.
Requires background/experience in mammalian cell culture, proteomics, molecular biology (DNA purification, cloning, RNAi, CRISPR, recombinant over expression) and assay development.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proteomics experience is highly preferable.
  • Cell and biochemical assay development.
  • Lentivirus production experience.
  • Basic understanding of organic chemistry, drug discovery and chemical biology.
Compensation: $45,926- $57,408 per year budgeted hiring range
