Position Title Research Technician
Position Summary:

Perform a variety of routine scientific tasks including:
* Enter data into software systems.
* Transfer compounds between vials and plates.
* Weigh compounds using analytical balance and accurately record results.
* Solubilize compounds from powder to liquid stock.
* Maintain inventory of compounds including information about location, quantity, and quality.
* Generate and complete order requests for compounds according to SOPs.
* Document, interpret and accurately record data in databases.
* Read analytical data from instruments including, but not limited to, single quad LC/MS systems.
* Registration of chemical compounds both arriving and departing the lab.
* Good organizational, record keeping, and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively and independently in an interdisciplinary, team-oriented, collaborative, high performance environment.
* Maintain, operate and troubleshoot various lab automation including, but not limited to, liquid handlers and perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Additional Information:

The Compound management department assists various groups by registering and fulfilling various requests of dry and solution-based compound samples. We ensure accuracy, organization and detail-oriented work when completing tasks and communicating with various personnel.

Physical Requirements:

This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline and up to one (1) year of related experience. Three (3) to six (6) years of related laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
