Position Title Research Technician
Position Summary:

Will work in a multidisciplinary team of researchers studying gene regulation and cancer biology. New members of the team will receive dedicated training in biochemistry and molecular and cellular biology as part of projects in chemical discovery and chromatin biology.
In addition to general lab duties (such as media and buffer preps, lab organization and cleaning), technician will engage in basic molecular biology (cloning, nucleic acid preps and gels, PCR), biochemistry (including recombinant protein expression/purification), cellular work (tissue culture and cellular assays), and modern genetic techniques in mammalian cells (CRISPR, RNAi, etc.). Will perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.

This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline and up to one (1) year of related experience. Three (3) to six (6) years of related laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous laboratory experience in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology is preferred.

Compensation: $17.69 -21.65 per hour budgeted hiring range
