The Neuroscience Department is seeking a Research Technician to perform a variety of routine scientific tasks. Responsibilities include preparation of test specimens; set up and operate standard lab equipment of moderate complexity; record data providing basic analyses and interpretations; may perform a limited number of non-repetitive procedures; perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.

This is an ideal opportunity primarily for someone looking to gain experience with modern neuroscience techniques (opto/chemogenetics, calcium imaging, tissue clearing, circuit mapping) under PI’s supervision. Responsibilities will also involve managing lab resources including mice colonies and genotyping.

This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.
|Basic Qualifications:|| |
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline and up to one (1) year of related experience. Three (3) to six (6) years of related laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
|Compensation:||Budgeted Hourly Rate $18.13-$22.19|
