|Position Summary:|| |
The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) also known as Scripps Research is currently seeking a Research Technician for its Florida campus.
The selected candidate will perform a variety of scientific experiments and laboratory duties. Primary tasks will involve cell culture experiments. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with other lab members to include the design, completion, troubleshooting and interpretation of scientific experiments. Other duties and tasks may be required or assigned as needed.

Perform a variety of routine scientific tasks; may prepare test specimens; set up and operate standard lab equipment of moderate complexity; record data providing basic analyses and interpretations; may perform a limited number of non-repetitive procedures; perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.
|Physical Requirements:|| |
This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.
|Basic Qualifications:|| |
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline and up to one (1) year of related experience. Three (3) to six (6) years of related laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
|Preferred Qualifications:|| |
Prior experience with cell culture is not required but is an advantage. The position requires an individual who is well organized, self-motivated, and has high standards of excellence.
Florida & Palm Beach County residents are preferred.
