Position Summary:

The Molecular Medicine Department at Scripps Research is seeking a temporary Research Technician for a six month assignment.

Position involves providing technical support for a Postdoctoral Fellow during data collection for a major experiment. Duties will include performing a variety of routine scientific tasks related to small animal experimentation and immunological techniques. Other activities will include data recording, basic data analyses and interpretation and performing other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Additional Information:

This is a 6 months assignment only is available in a laboratory that studies autoimmunity using small animal models.

Physical Requirements:

This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline and up to one (1) year of related experience. Three (3) to six (6) years of related laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

This is an entry level position requiring a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in immunology, cell or molecular biology or relevant scientific discipline. Experience is not essential.

Compensation: Budgeted Hourly Rate $17.69-$21.65
