Position Title UX/UI Designer
Position Summary:

The UX / UI Designer will work with the All of Us Research Program at Scripps Research Translational Institute (SRTI). All of Us is a landmark NIH research initiative that aims to engage one million US participants from diverse social, racial/ethnic, and economic backgrounds in an effort to gain better insights into the biological, environmental, and behavioral factors that influence human health.

The UX / UI Designer is responsible for creating efficient and delightful user interfaces for the digital solutions that drive the success of SRTI’s research goals. This designer uses data, testing, and feedback to develop wireframes and interactive prototypes. They excel at collaborating with stakeholders, understanding our users, and rapidly iterating toward low-friction, optimal solutions. The UX / UI Designer has a keen eye, refined aesthetic, and can translate their own wireframes into beautifully executed Photoshop and Sketch designs. They work closely with product managers and development teams to ensure a final product with intuitive interfaces that delight our users and achieve our research goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

* Design and deploy frictionless User Experiences that delight our users and achieve our research goals.
* Build low-to-high fidelity prototypes to drive user testing and stakeholder collaboration.
* Support data-driven UI decisions with quantitative & qualitative insights and analysis.
* Embrace and advocate for user-centered design principles.
* Collaborate with visual designers as they translate wireframes and prototypes into Photoshop / Sketch designs.
* Engage with a variety of stakeholders including Program Managers, Digital Marketing staff, and Data Science teams.
* Work closely with management and other program teams to shepherd designs and prototypes through implementation and acceptance testing.

Physical Requirements:

This position works in a dry laboratory or office environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant field.
* 5+ years’ of experience in creating user interfaces for digital solutions.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment.
* Ability to multitask within a dynamic work environment.
* Ability to work independently and manage time/projects efficiently.
